Dear fellow Curlers,

On behalf of the German Curling Association I am delighted to announce that Hamburg is going to host the 6th GERMAN MASTERS on 19th – 22nd January 2017.

The tournament is part of the CURLING CHAMPIONS TOUR and will be played with 24 teams, starting with a Round Robin in 6 groups (4 Teams each), continuing with 2 Qualifier Rounds and finishing with a regular Play Off Format in the marvelous Curling Club Hamburg. Beside perfect playing conditions the demands of modern high performance athletes shall be the base for our standards. We are focusing on making your participation at this event as comfortable as possible. Hosting several Olympic Teams & Medalists, World & European Champions as well as high competitive teams on the TOUR over the past years we proudly became an established event on the CURLING CHAMPIONS TOUR. Counting on your participation we are ambitious to continue this journey!

In the 2017 Masters’ Final Team Murdoch-SCO defeated Team KIM-KOR (5:4) and won the Masters’ purse of EUR 7.000. It has been the 2nd German Masters Title of Team Murdoch after winning 2013, too. So who will challenge the defending Hamburg Champions?

For your convenience the entree fee includes an Airport Shuttle and daily Catering in the Curling for each player and one coach.

Due to a special arrangement with Lindner Park-Hotel Hagenbeck we are able to provide your accommodation within either 300m walking distance to the Club at a more than just fair rate including breakfast. Therefore we highly recommend your stay at the official hotel of the tournament. Be aware that this arrangement is limited.

Furthermore the generous planned playing schedule should allow you to enjoy the sights of Hamburg as well as plenty of time to prepare proper for each single match. In addition we offer 2 practice sessions on Thursday before the first Session starts at 18:00.

As we have already received a lot of entries, without even sending out the official invitation, we expect a high caliber field of 24 international top teams.

For all this, we kindly ask you to fill out completely the “Entry Application Form” as soon as possible and let us know any extras (e.g. travel plans: arrival and departure times, airlines, etc.) you are thinking of.
